Universal XML feed (YML)
An XML feed for Prom.ua, Rozetka, Hotline and other marketplaces.
Marketplaces — Prom.ua, Rozetka, Hotline and others — accept a catalogue as a file in the YML format. This plugin builds that file from your products and keeps it at a permanent link: the marketplace collects it on its own and refreshes prices and availability without you lifting a finger.
What it does
- Builds the catalogue in YML format: offers with price, product link, photos, brand, variant code and a description — full, short or none at all.
- Puts a nested category tree into the file so the marketplace can sort your products into sections.
- Lets you choose which attributes go into the offer properties — marketplaces build their shopper filters from them.
- Converts prices into the currency you choose using your shop's rates, passes the pre-discount price (tag oldprice or price_old, whichever the marketplace asks for) and, if you wish, the stock figure.
- Caps the number of photos per product and lets you select what goes out: all products, particular categories, a product type, a brand, a saved list or only what is in stock.
- The file sits at a permanent link and is rebuilt on a schedule — hourly, daily or weekly.
What you need
- An account on the marketplace (Prom.ua, Rozetka, Hotline and the like) where you enter the permanent link to the file.
- For the file to refresh by itself, a regular scheduled task must be switched on for your site — usually set up by the hosting provider or whoever installed the shop.
What we fixed
Volume and weight went into the marketplace file as «10.000000», and the marketplace showed the customer that number in full. The export now carries «10», and the unit travels in its own field — the marketplace writes «10 ml» itself and can filter products by the number.
What to do after updating
The add-on needs shop version 2.42.0 or newer: the unit comes from the shop itself. Update the shop if you have not yet, and export the file again.
Weight and dimensions go into the feed
Marketplaces calculate delivery from the weight and size of a product, and until now the file had neither — so delivery was shown to shoppers as a guess. Weight is now exported as the weight tag, and length, width and height as the dimensions tag. Weight can be set for the whole product or for a single purchase variant; the variant wins.
An icon of its own
In the «Plugins» section and in the list of installed items the add-on now shows its own icon instead of an identical box, so you find the one you need at a glance. The icon appears on shops running version 1.30.0 and newer.
