Free gifts

A free gift for the order total or for buying selected products.

Screenshots are coming soon.

A gift works where a discount no longer convinces: shoppers top up their cart to reach the threshold, the average order value grows, and the shop pays the cost of one product instead of a percentage off every sale.

What it does

  • Gives a product away for the order total, in tiers: "spend 2000 — get a cream, spend 3500 — a cream and a pouch". A higher tier adds gifts to the lower ones instead of replacing them.
  • Gives a gift for buying particular products, brands or categories — "a pack of coffee with a coffee machine" — where the order total plays no part.
  • Counts the threshold by the number of items as well, not only by money: "buy three packs, the fourth is a gift".
  • Puts a single gift in the cart on its own and lets shoppers choose when there are several — you decide how many they may take.
  • Shows a "350 ₴ left to your gift" bar in the cart, and a note on the product page that a gift comes with it.
  • Caps the giveaway: per order, per shopper and per campaign in total. Once the stock you set runs out, the gift stops being offered.
  • Never promises what the warehouse does not have: a gift that ran out disappears from the list on its own.
  • Removes the gift when the cart stops matching the condition, so nobody checks out with something they no longer earned.
  • Marks gifts in the order and in printed documents, and reports how many went out and what they cost the shop.
  • A cancelled order returns its gifts to the campaign's stock.

What it needs

  • The products you are ready to give away — ordinary catalogue products with stock.
  • At least one tier with a threshold and a list of gifts.
  • A cost price on the gift products if you want the report to show what the campaign cost.

What appears in the shop

This is what a shopper sees once it is installed.

  • Above the cart items a bar appears saying «350 ₴ left to your gift», so the shopper sees how much to add.
  • Below the cart totals a «Your gift» block appears: the gift received, or a choice of the ones available at this order total. The block refreshes together with the cart: add a product and the gifts recalculate without reloading the page.
  • On the product page, under the buy button, a «Comes with a gift» note appears with the gift's name and photo.

A gift for quantity, not just for order total

The gift threshold can now be counted by a feature total in the cart. If the shop sells pills, metres or litres, the gift is earned by how many of them add up in total, whatever the pack sizes: “20 pills in total — here is your gift”. The value comes from the SKU, or from the product when the SKU has none; products without that feature do not count towards the threshold.

Tiers now work either way. A higher tier can still add gifts to the lower ones, or you can switch to the opposite — only the reached tier applies. The latter is what you want when tiers are set as ranges (“10–19”, “20–29”): otherwise the top tier would show the shopper everything from the tiers below as well.
