Meest
Meest delivery at checkout: branches, parcel lockers and courier to the door.
Some shoppers pick Meest for its price and the location of its branches, and losing those orders is a shame. This add-on puts Meest into your checkout next to the other carriers: the customer enters a city, chooses a branch, a parcel locker or a courier, and the price is calculated for their cart.
What it does
- Puts Meest among the delivery options with a switch for the pickup type: branch, parcel locker or courier to the door, each turned on separately.
- Lets the customer find a point by searching the list or on a map with carrier markers — you choose the mode.
- Calculates the price from the real weight and dimensions of the order; your own markup can be added on top.
- Falls back to your fixed rate for that pickup type when the carrier cannot quote a price at that moment, so the option never disappears from checkout.
- Offers a "carrier rates" mode: no price is shown and the customer pays Meest on pickup.
- Keeps branches and parcel lockers inside the shop, so the list opens instantly and is refreshed with a button in the settings; the chosen point, with its address and city, is stored with the order.
What you need
- A Meest account: either the login and password of your cabinet or the access key issued to you.
- The sender city — the tariff is calculated from it.
- One first refresh of the branch list after installation, done from the delivery method settings.
What appears in the shop
This is what a shopper sees once it is installed.
- Meest appears among the delivery options at checkout. Choosing it, the customer searches for their city and picks a branch or parcel locker — from a list or on a map. The city search and the branch map are part of your shop's checkout, so they work in any design and appear on their own. Nothing has to be edited in the design editor.
The directory update now shows its progress
Press «Update the directory» and you see what is happening: how much is already downloaded and when it finished. Previously the button stayed at «Queued…» until the very end.
The add-on tells you when the directory is empty
Until branches are downloaded, delivery does not work: customers have nothing to choose from. The add-on now says so in its settings and in the delivery method, right next to the «Update branches» button. The same goes for missing account credentials.
Credentials moved to the add-on settings
Signing in to your Meest account — by login and password or by API key — is now set once in the add-on settings, along with the button that refreshes the branch directory. Your credentials are carried over automatically.
The sending city stays with the shipping method: a shop may have several warehouses in different cities.
An icon of its own
In the «Plugins» section and in the list of installed items the add-on now shows its own icon instead of an identical box, so you find the one you need at a glance. The icon appears on shops running version 1.30.0 and newer.
