Order copy

Some customers order the same things every month. Typing such an order in again costs a manager ten minutes and invites a mistake in the quantities. This plugin does it with one button on the order.

What it does

• Adds a «Copy order» button to the order — both on the order page and on the orders desktop.
• Asks what to carry over: items with quantities, the customer with every field of your order form, the comment, the promo code, a different recipient.
• Carries the previous delivery method, pickup point and payment only if you tick them: a branch could have closed, a rate could have changed, and shoppers often pick a different payment.
• Opens a filled-in new order form: you see the contents and the total before the order reaches the customer, and you can change anything.
• Prices everything from the current catalogue instead of the old order, so a product that went up in price is not sold at last year's price and current discounts apply on their own.
• Leaves gifts out of the copy — your promotion grants those on its own terms.
• Skips a product that is no longer on sale and says so right on the form instead of quietly losing the line.
• Remembers what to tick by default: in one shop a repeat order always goes the same way, in another it never does.

What it needs

• Nothing to set up: the button appears as soon as the plugin is installed.
• The staff member needs the right to manage orders — orders they cannot see cannot be copied.
