SMS: AlphaSMS
SMS to shoppers through the Ukrainian service AlphaSMS.
Customers hear about their order within minutes instead of whenever they next check email — a text message is read almost immediately. AlphaSMS is a Ukrainian messaging service: texts reach every local mobile network, and instead of an unknown number the customer sees your shop name.
What it does
- Sends a text when something happens with an order: order placed, status changed, order paid, new customer registered.
- Fills the text with order data — number, total, status, customer name, shop name; ready-made wordings in Ukrainian, Russian and English are already there.
- Converts local Ukrainian numbers to international form, so a phone saved as 067… still gets the message.
- Lets you send a test message to your own phone straight from the settings, before the first real order.
- Records every send in the log: accepted by the operator or not, the operator message id, and the error text if it was refused.
- With several storefronts you can give each one its own connection and keep one as the main.
What you need
- An AlphaSMS contract with money on the balance — messages are paid for.
- An access key from your AlphaSMS account.
- A sender name approved by the operator — customers see it instead of a phone number.
The plugin speaks the language of your panel
The service name and the hints for its fields now live in the plugin itself and are translated into Russian, Ukrainian and English. They used to sit in the engine, where a disabled plugin still took up space and translations had to wait for a shop update.
An icon of its own
In the «Plugins» section and in the list of installed items the add-on now shows its own icon instead of an identical box, so you find the one you need at a glance. The icon appears on shops running version 1.30.0 and newer.
