SMS: SMS.RU
SMS to shoppers through the SMS.RU service.
SMS.RU is a Russian messaging service. This add-on makes sense if your customers have Russian numbers or you already pay for an SMS.RU account; for texting within Ukraine the local operators, which have their own add-ons, are the more convenient choice.
What it does
- Sends a text on shop events: order placed, status changed, order paid, new customer registered.
- Puts order data into the text — number, total, status, customer name and shop name; ready wordings in three languages are included.
- Connects with an access key from your SMS.RU account.
- The sender name is optional: without it the message goes out under the name the service assigned by default.
- Sends the number exactly as it is stored for the customer, without adding a country code, so phones are best kept in full international format.
- Logs the service reply for every number: accepted, the message id, or the reason for refusal; a test send from the settings checks the connection.
What you need
- An SMS.RU account with money on the balance.
- An access key from your SMS.RU account.
- A sender name — optional, approved by the service.
The plugin speaks the language of your panel
The service name and the hints for its fields now live in the plugin itself and are translated into Russian, Ukrainian and English. They used to sit in the engine, where a disabled plugin still took up space and translations had to wait for a shop update.
An icon of its own
In the «Plugins» section and in the list of installed items the add-on now shows its own icon instead of an identical box, so you find the one you need at a glance. The icon appears on shops running version 1.30.0 and newer.
