SMS: SMSC
SMS to shoppers through the SMSC service.
SMSC is an international messaging service with its own offices and numbers in several countries, which helps when your customers are not only Ukrainian. The shop warns them about an accepted order and a status change on its own, so you stop typing those messages by hand.
What it does
- Sends a text on shop events: order placed, status changed, order paid, new customer registered.
- Puts order data into the text — number, total, status, customer name, shop name; ready wordings in three languages are included.
- Connects with the login and password of your SMSC account — no separate key to obtain.
- The sender name is optional: leave the field empty and the message goes out under the name SMSC assigned by default.
- Shows in the log how many parts a long text was split into, so you can see what detailed messages really cost.
- Adds the country code to local Ukrainian numbers; a test message to your own phone can be sent from the settings.
What you need
- An SMSC account with a topped-up balance.
- The login and password of your SMSC account.
- A sender name — optional, but it has to be approved by SMSC.
The plugin speaks the language of your panel
The service name and the hints for its fields now live in the plugin itself and are translated into Russian, Ukrainian and English. They used to sit in the engine, where a disabled plugin still took up space and translations had to wait for a shop update.
An icon of its own
In the «Plugins» section and in the list of installed items the add-on now shows its own icon instead of an identical box, so you find the one you need at a glance. The icon appears on shops running version 1.30.0 and newer.
